Discover Our Journey So Far
Established in June 1992 by a dedicated group of shipping engineering professionals with 50+ years of experience, NEPTUNE TECHNICAL AGENCIES LTD was founded to provide elite technical expertise and shipyard representation in the BALTIC REGION and Beyond to the Greek and Cypriot markets. For over three decades, we have served as a vital link between ship owners and the world’s most reliable repair facilities.
A Heritage of Pioneering Firsts
Neptune has a long history of opening new markets and setting industry benchmarks.
Strategic Growth
In 1992 our journey began in the Baltic Region with the exclusive representation of the Radunia S.A. a Ship Repair Yard in Poland, arranging repairs and conversions in Gdansk and Gdynia. Radunia was offering repairs and conversions at Gdansk and dockings for Panamax size ships at Gdynia Shipyard 240×40 DD.
We continued this legacy under the yard’s new ownership, EPG Shipyard,
until it was sold to the Mars Shipyards & Offshore in 2013.
Additionally, our long-standing cooperation with Riga Shipyard in Latvia allowed us to facilitate numerous Panamax dockings and Aframax afloat repairs until 2019, when their Panamax floating dock was sold.
The Baltic States Pioneers
In March 1993, Neptune pioneered foreign ship repairs in Klaipeda, Lithuania, by arranging for a Greek-owned bulk carrier—the largest ever to call at the country at that time—to undergo dry-docking and special survey works at Western Shiprepair Yard (WSY).
The BLRT Partnership
Neptune exclusively represented the BLRT Group of Shipyards and their associated companies within the Greek shipping market. We promoted their elite facilities across the Baltic States and Finland for major repair and docking projects. The majority of our repair activities for Greek-managed vessels were carried out in Klaipeda, Lithuania, leveraging three floating docks that were eventually upgraded to accommodate Post-Panamax and Panamax size ships. Their facilities offered comprehensive workshop support, including the only specialized in-house propeller repair workshop in the Baltic Region.
Today: Global Technical Solutions
Today, Neptune Technical Agencies continues to build on its 30-year legacy of technical excellence. We maintain a deep-rooted, strategic cooperation with our long lasting partners providing Greek and Cypriot shipowners with premier access to Shipyards in the Baltic States and beyond, including various specialist workshops with global reach.
Beyond the Baltics, we have expanded our reach to meet the evolving needs of the modern fleet.and customer requirements. Our current operations include:
- Strategic Global Network: Managed docking and repair projects in Asia (China, Singapore, Indonesia & Vietnam), The Americas, US Gulf and the Caribbean ( Dominican Republic) and other parts of Europe & Black Sea (East Med Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania )
- Specialized Afloat Teams: Immediate engineering support through Neptune Services UAB, delivering technical assistance and surveys directly at Baltic Sea ports.
- Modern Compliance: Leading the transition to sustainable shipping with specialized installation and maintenance for BWTS and Scrubbers ,Battery Pack systems ,Exhaust Energy Recovery Units.
